With $43.5 million, Christopher Nolan’s mindbender stayed at No. 1 for the second week in a row, edging out Angelina Jolie’s spy caper, which drew $36.5 million, according to Box Office Mojo. Inception, which only dropped 30 percent in its second weekend, now boasts a 10-day total of $143.7 million.
Following in third place with $24.1 million was Despicable Me. The Steve Carell animated comedy has grossed $161.7 million in three weeks.

The weekend’s other new release, Ramona and Beezus, debuted in sixth place with $8 million.
Rounding out the top 10 were: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (No. 4, $9.7 million); Toy Story 3 (No. 5, $9 million); Grown Ups (No. 7, $7.6 million); The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (No. 8, $7 million); The Last Airbender (No. 9, $4.1 million); and Predators (No. 10, $2.8 million).

Avatar MovieAvatar is phenomenal and monumental creation of the great director James Cameron. It is of course the superb combination of imaginative and real world. However, the story avatar tells about the ex-Marine who found himself propelled into the hostilities of an alien planet i.e. Pandora, a planet light years from Earth. The environment of this planet is toxic along with hostile natives — one corporate apparatchik calls the locals “blue monkeys.” Being an Avatar, a human sole in a foreign body, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) discovers himself entrap between two worlds. He fights dreadfully with the indigenous people for his survival.

Nevertheless, Sam manages to enter in a near-by tribal area where a powerful, Amazonian lady named Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) gives him protection as well as teaches him how to survive in a forest. In the course of time, they fall in love but the director Cameron has master mind; hence, he did not let them sentimental rather made their love more tough.

Almost after 12 years, Avatar resurrected the memory of James Cameron’s own movie – 11 Academy award winner ‘Titanic’. As per influenced with his creative mind, Cameron has integrated new intuitive CGI technology to provide the audiences photorealistic 3D movie. It gives the viewers an immense pleasure to experience the alien world.
